IronGenie Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-31

AI and Genie Recommendations

IronGenie may send selected training, profile, and preference information to an AI provider when you ask Genie for recommendations or training adjustments. IronGenie does not send your data to AI providers in the background — only when you explicitly request a Genie recommendation.

AI-generated suggestions can be wrong. Review recommendations before training and stop if something feels unsafe.

Tracking and Advertising

IronGenie does not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites. The app does not use advertising identifiers, third-party advertising, or third-party analytics.

Email Communications

IronGenie uses your email address for sign-in, account confirmation, password reset, email-change verification, account/security messages, support, moderation, subscription or entitlement notices, and related transactional communications.

IronGenie does not send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional commercial electronic messages unless you explicitly opt in separately. If IronGenie offers marketing email opt-in, consent will be requested separately from account creation, will not be pre-checked by default, will be recorded for compliance, and each marketing email will include sender identification and a working unsubscribe mechanism.

HealthKit

IronGenie does not currently read from or write to Apple HealthKit.

Camera, Microphone, Photos, and Media

IronGenie requests camera and microphone access only when you choose to capture workout or bug-report photos or videos. The app uses the system photo picker where available for library selection. Media attachments are used for workout logs, profiles, cover images, movement references, bug reports, sharing, or moderation depending on where you upload them.

Only upload media you own, created yourself, have permission to use, or that has an explicit reusable license. Do not upload nudity, sexually explicit content, private images, personal data about others, paid course clips, athlete footage, or copyrighted material you cannot reuse.

Third-Party Reference Media

Some movement reference media is hosted by third-party providers such as YouTube. When you display a preview, play media inline, or open media externally, your device may connect directly to that provider. The provider may receive information such as your IP address, device or browser details, app or referrer information, and the requested media identifier, and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy.

IronGenie stores only the media provider and a clean reference URL or identifier where practical. We remove share and tracking parameters from YouTube reference links where practical and use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain for inline YouTube playback where available. You can hide exercise reference media in app settings; exercise instructions remain available without reference media.

Public Profiles, Friends, Clubs, and Sharing

New accounts for users 18 and older are set to public and discoverable by default. Accounts for users under 18 are set to private by default with friend-list visibility limited to friends only. You can change your profile visibility, account privacy, and friend-list settings at any time in Account settings.

Your profile visibility settings control whether other authenticated users can find or view profile details through active profile, friend, club, and sharing features. Public/discoverable profile data may include display name, username, avatar, cover image, athlete title, relationship status, mutual context, selected badges, and limited activity signals shown by the current app.

When you share or publish a plan or movement, recipients may be able to view copied plan or movement content such as names, descriptions, instructions, media, links, and notes included with that content. The app is designed so recipients work from private copies where supported, not live mutable access to your private training history.

Service Providers

IronGenie uses service providers to operate the app, including:

  • Supabase for account management, data storage, and app services
  • Apple for sign-in, subscriptions, and account deletion support
  • AI providers for Genie recommendations when you request them
  • Email services for account confirmation, password reset, support, moderation, and related emails

These providers process information as needed to provide app functionality, security, support, and legal compliance.

Account Deletion

You can request account deletion in the app:

Account -> Data & Privacy -> Delete Account

You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm. Account deletion removes your account and linked private training history according to the active deletion workflow. Deleting your account does not cancel Apple billing; manage your subscription through Apple before deleting if you do not want future renewals.

Published library content, shared content, moderation records, billing audit records, security records, and legal/compliance records may be retained, removed, or de-identified as needed for public library integrity, safety, dispute handling, legal obligations, fraud prevention, or operational records. Published plans and movements may remain available without your account identity.

Data Retention

We keep account, subscription, training, social, support, moderation, and diagnostic data for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and operate backups. When your account is deleted, private account-linked data is removed or de-identified according to the app's deletion workflow, subject to the exceptions above.

Security and Health Data Breaches

IronGenie uses authentication, access controls, and secure storage to protect your data. No system can guarantee perfect security. If we discover unauthorized access to unsecured, individually identifiable health or fitness information that triggers legal notification obligations, we will notify affected users and regulators as required.

Children

IronGenie is not intended for children under 13. The app requires a birthday during setup and blocks users under 13 from creating an account. Do not use IronGenie if you are not old enough to use the app under the laws that apply to you.

Fitness and Medical Disclaimer

IronGenie provides workout planning, logging, progress tracking, and conservative training suggestions. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose injuries or provide medical treatment. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise program, especially if you have injuries, pain, or concerns about exercise safety.

Stop exercising and seek qualified medical advice if you experience concerning symptoms, injury, or significant pain.
